WVU at Parkersburg will be here on campus December 8th and 9th 8:15-3:15 for Spring enrollment.
Student Council is sponsoring a food drive due to SNAP benefits being cut this weekend. Food will be sent home next Friday for the long weekend. Teachers are asked to collect food next Monday through Thursday and email names of kids who donate. Those donating will be entered into a drawing for a prize. Contact Michelle Swisher if you have any questions.

Secretary of State Kris Warner will be visiting PHS at 9:00 AM on October 29th to speak about civic duty and encourage our students to register to vote. He is only visiting three schools—PHS, Morgantown, and University—so this is a special opportunity for us.
To qualify for the award, we need at least 295 of our 346 students to register to vote. Students must be 18 years old by November 3, 2026, to be eligible.

Hi Students,
Just a quick reminder about our Personal Electronic Device policy:
Cell phones may only be used before school, during lunch, and after school.
All phones, headphones, and other electronic devices must be kept in your locker or secured in your backpack during class time and passing periods.
We’ve noticed headphones out in the hallways. These are considered Personal Electronic Devices, so please make sure they’re put away. Teachers will be reminding you, and starting later this week, any visible headphones will be taken to the office and treated as a cell phone violation.
Also, remember: phones are not allowed in the hallways between classes or in the restrooms.
If you need to use your phone for an emergency, please ask a teacher. They can write you a pass to go to the office where you can make your call.
Thanks for helping us keep our school focused and distraction-free!

Last week or sometime this week your student will be bringing home Parent Access Codes for Schoology from their advisory teacher. Students will have a paper with activation directions and the code to give to you. If you have not already activated your parent account, we strongly encourage you to do so. Schoology allows you to communicate with your student's teachers, as well as view grades and assignments for your student. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to your student's advisory teacher.

Seniors who do not have their up to date immunization records on file with Nurse Tori will be excluded starting Tuesday, September 2nd until she receives them.
Picture Day is Thursday. Pictures will be taken during math class. If a student does not have a math class, they will have their picture taken during Advisory.
School pictures are this Thursday and will be taken during math class. If you do not have a math class on campus, you will be sent during Advisory. Staff pictures will start at 7:30. Packets will be distributed during advisory and we will share the updated links Monday.

🚸📚 School starts tomorrow in Wood County! Please be mindful of changing traffic conditions as buses return to the roads and students walk to school. Safety must be our top priority—slow down, stay alert, and help keep our children safe! 🚌👣

If you haven’t picked up your schedule yet, Mr. Sprague will be in the cafeteria starting at 7:00 AM tomorrow to assist you.
Also, please note a change in our morning routine: students will remain in the cafeteria until the 7:45 bell rings.
Students are not permitted to drive to Caperton or Tech until they have completed their parking forms.
