Read Across America Week is this week! Please see the attached picture for each day’s event. On Tuesday, all archery club students are asked to wear their archery club shirt for a yearbook picture (Tuesday is Grizzly Gear Day).
Our reading elves came in over the weekend and decorated for our students! Another special event is The Masked Reader…… Who will it be each day?

Our Boys Basketball Team continued its winning ways tonight against a tough team from Madison. The boys next game is on 2/20/25 at Lubeck against Mineral Wells starting at 4:45pm.
Our candy bar sale has been extended! If you wish for your child to help our school raise money by selling you can still do so by obtaining a form from the main office. Orders will now be due NLT Friday, February 28, 2025.

Due to overnight surface refreezing and potential flooding, Wood County Schools will be on a two-hour delay on Monday, February 17.

The LSIC meeting that was on our calendar for today is cancelled and will be rescheduled. We will send an updated date with the last LSIC meetings home with students.
Thank you for your support with the candy bar sale. We are still selling as many candy bars as we can to raise money for our school. We plan on upgrading the system in the gym to include a projector that can be used for school-wide presentation, but we need to sell many more boxes.

As we bask in the glory of yet another snow day, a reminder to please stay informed with your child’s education and keep up with messages on the ROOMS app.
Also, we are in need of more people to sell candy bars as we have a bunch to sell. The candy bars are $1 each and come 60/box. These make great gifts for co-workers, friends and family. Maybe you’re artsy and would be into making a giant candy bar bouquet for that special someone for Valentine’s Day…. Easter isn’t far away and I am sure the Easter Bunny needs a bunch of these delicious treats to give out to the awesome kids he visits. Please call the office with any questions. We have a HOME Boys Basketball game tonight beginning at 5:45 pm. Admission is $5 per adult, $4 seniors, $1 students and Free for under 5 years old. Wood County rec takes all proceeds.
We have a ton of candy bars available for sale so if you'd like to help raise money for our school we can use the help. We are continuing to upgrade our gym sound/entertainment systems.

Our PREK registration started today at 8:00 and it went smoothly thanks to our staff and parents. We wish to thank many visitors for attending the Award Ceremony earlier today. This afternoon, our reward activity went well and the kids had a blast!
A reminder that the Valentine's parties must have ONLY healthy foods and not cupcakes, cookies, etc. as we can only do that once a year which was the Christmas party.
Our candy bar fundraiser began today. If you wish to have your child sell candy bars to support our school this is greatly appreciated as we plan to do things that will benefit all students. Please call our school with any questions. Best wishes.
